Job summary

Galloway & Company, LLC is seeking a leadership-focused architect to guide teams, strengthen client relationships, and shape the strategic direction of important projects in Evansville, IN. You will lead design direction, mentor staff, and drive proposals to grow the business while ensuring design excellence.

The role emphasizes project planning, budget/schedule management, and collaboration across disciplines to deliver high-quality outcomes for diverse clients.

Qualifications

• Bachelor/Master of Architecture (NAAB-accredited)
• 5+ years of relevant architectural experience
• Licensure required; NCARB certificate a plus
• Strong communication, presentation, and organizational skills
• Proficient in Revit, SketchUp, Adobe Creative Suite, MS Office
• Willingness to learn new processes and explore concepts

Responsibilities

• Report to the Principal responsible for the individual project
• Participate in the design direction and develop technical drawings and specifications
• Establish design budgets and schedules to meet deadlines
• Supervise, direct, and sequence activities of a project team across all design disciplines
• Create drawing mark-ups for Architectural Designers to execute
• Contribute to resolution of design or construction issues
• Direct the creation of presentation documents and lead client meetings
• Cultivate positive client relationships with focus on satisfaction
• Observe construction progress and provide construction administration services
• Demonstrate knowledge of industry standards and building codes

About The Role

This is a leadership-focused role for a driven professional who thrives on guiding teams, strengthening client relationships, and shaping the strategic direction of impactful projects. You’ll lead project planning and execution, mentor and develop staff, and play a key role in growing the business through proposals, client partnerships, and repeat work. Responsibilities

• Report to the Principal responsible for the individual project
• Participate in the design direction and develop technical drawings and specifications
• Establish design budgets and schedules to meet deadlines
• While focusing on excellent design and document quality, you will supervise, direct, and properly sequence the activities of a project team, including all design disciplines and consultants during all project phases
• Create drawing mark-ups for Architectural Designers to execute
• Creatively contribute to the resolution of design or construction issues
• Direct the creation of presentation documents and lead client meetings
• Cultivate positive client relationships while working on their projects with a focus on client satisfaction
• Observe construction progress and provide construction administration services
• Display knowledge of industry standards and an understanding of building codes, industry trends, building structures, and architectural advancements

Qualifications

• Professional and positive attitude
• Accredited (NAAB) Bachelor and/or Master of Architecture
• 5+ years of relevant experience in the field of Architecture
• Licensure is required and NCARB Certificate is a plus
• Strong communication, presentation, and organizational skills
• Excels at problem-solving, and seeks to improve their skills
• Is self-motivated and able to work on multiple projects at one time
• Can work as part of a team without direct daily supervision
• Experience and/or interest in sustainable design/LEED/WELL AP (desired, but not required)
• Proficient knowledge of Revit, SketchUp, Adobe Creative Suite, and Microsoft Office
• Willingness to learn new processes and explore new concepts
• An understanding that your opportunities are as limitless as your imagination
