Galloway & Company in Salt Lake City, UT, seeks a dynamic architecture leader to guide projects from concept through construction. You will mentor an in-house architecture team while driving client relationships, pursuing new business, and delivering innovative design solutions that meet our high standards.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master’s in architecture is required or equivalent work experience.
• Strong understanding of building systems and design processes.
• Experience managing schedules and budgets on large projects.

Responsibilities

• Assists in managing Architecture team members and project schedules.
• Leads development conceptual and schematic design packages.
• Develops, modifies, and reviews construction documents.
• Coordinates with and advises clients during the construction phase.
• Oversees shop drawing reviews and construction administration.
• Markets the firm’s capabilities to establish new clients.

About the Role

Step into a dynamic leadership role where you’ll drive meaningful client relationships and shape projects from concept through construction. You’ll guide and mentor a talented architecture team while playing a key role in winning new business, delivering innovative design solutions, and ensuring excellence at every phase. Responsibilities

• Assists in managing Architecture team members and assists in managing project schedules.
• Assists in development conceptual and schematic design packages
• Develops, modifies, and reviews construction documents.
• Coordinates with and advises client throughout the Construction phase of the project.
• Performs shop drawing and submittal reviews.
• Researches and specifies building materials, systems, and products.
• Research codes and verifies code compliance.
• Oversees and manages construction administration phase.
• Directs construction administration activities on projects.
• Takes an active role in new business development; markets Galloway’s capabilities to establish new clients and enhance relationships with existing clients.

Qualifications

• Possesses an excellent understanding of building systems and design.
• Possesses working knowledge of value engineering.
• Possesses detailed knowledge of the construction process.
• Understands permitting and certification processes for building projects.
• Understands codes and standards in building design.
• Understands basic tenants of various engineering reports associated with project construction.
• Understands and assists in the management of construction schedules and budgets.
• Can review and understanding construction pay applications, change orders, requests for information, and other construction-related documentation.
• Possesses detailed knowledge in various agencies and disciplines involved in the construction process; integrates and coordinates all parties for successful completion of construction projects.
• Possesses detailed knowledge of project budgets and scheduling.
• Is proficient in Revit, Bluebeam, Google SketchUp, COMcheck-EZ, Speclink, and Microsoft Products. Knowledge of Adobe products is encouraged but not required.

Education

• Bachelor’s or Master's in architecture, or equivalent work experience.
• Current Colorado architecture license, LEED accreditation, and member of AIA and NCARB certification is preferred.

Experience

• Experience in large-scale Multifamily projects
• Typically, a minimum of six years’ experience in the Architecture field

Regional Location

This employment opportunity is based in Salt Lake City, Utah.

The estimated starting salary pay range for this role is $90,000 - $102,000
