Job summary

INC Architecture & Design is seeking a full-time Architect (may be non-licensed) with 5–7 years of professional experience and a B. Arch or M. Arch.

The candidate will handle technical design, documentation, CAD/BIM (Revit), and contract administration for high-end residential, hospitality and related projects in NYC. Candidates should be able to work independently with a range of consultants under supervision of Partners, and hotel, restaurant, and urban design experience is a plus.

Qualifications

• Bachelors or Masters of Architecture from an NAAB-accredited program.
• 5–7 years of professional experience in architecture.
• US work authorization required; must be eligible to work in the United States.

Responsibilities

• Lead technical design aspects and resolve design problems.
• Coordinate with consultants and manage contract documents.
• Manage BIM and Revit models.
• Oversee submittals, RFIs, site meetings, and field reports.
• Mentor junior staff and supervise 1–3 juniors.
• Ensure compliance with NYC codes.

Summary

INC is seeking a full-time Architect (may be non-licensed) with 5-7 years of professional experience and a B. Arch or M. Arch with strong technical skills and exceptional organizational skills. Applicants should have experience in filing documentation, high-end design or residential or hospitality experience, and Contract Administration experience. Applicants should also be able to work independently with a wide range of consultants under the supervision of one or more Partners.

Essential Duties And Responsibilities

• Responsible for specific technical design aspects of projects including investigation, evaluation, and recommendation of design solutions and can independently make decisions on design problems and methods.

• Schematic blocking and planning
• Building Information Model Management (Revit)
• Consultant coordination and management
• Contract Document management and production
• Specifications management and production
• Executes and manages regulatory filing paperwork and has experience managing expediters and other codes consultants.
• Production and management of bidding and pricing documentation and negotiations
• Understands and implements NYC codes.
• Contract Administration: submittals, requests for information, site meetings, and field reports.
• Reports to Associates
• Supervises 1-3 junior staff
• May work on up to 2-3 simultaneous projects at different phases of development.

Education And Experience Requirements

• Bachelors or Masters of Architecture from an NAAB accredited institution.
• 5-7 years professional experience
• At least 4 years of professional Revit experience. Please show Revit work at both design and documentation level.
• Candidates must be legally allowed to work in the US

Studio Description

INC Architecture & Design is a multi-disciplinary Architecture and Design studio, with experience in a wide range of project types located in the SoHo District of New York City. Having executed high-rise residential buildings, hotels, restaurants, galleries, retail stores, private residences, and private residential interiors, the studio specializes in the integration of architecture and interior design.
