Job summary

Joe Serrins Studio in New York is seeking a project architect / team captain for high-end single-family residences. You will lead design development, coordinate construction documents, and guide a junior team through all project phases.

The role blends inventive design with meticulous project management, offering a studio environment that supports growth, ambitious commissions, and a healthy work-life balance within a collaborative team of architects and designers.

Qualifications

• 5-8 years experience.
• Ability to manage a junior architect and organize a project team.
• Ability to organize and draw construction documents in AutoCAD.
• Skilled in SketchUp, Lumien, and other rendering softwares.
• Experience with Adobe Suite.
• Experience with NYC DoB code and expeditors.
• Experience with residential construction methods.
• Experience coordinating and communicating with contractors and consultants.
• You are organized and thorough, with an ability to handle multiple projects at various stages of development and construction.
• You are a skilled designer with a sensitivity for modern residential detailing and passion for your work.
• You are legally able to work in the US without sponsorship.

Joe Serrins Studio is looking to add a project architect to our team. We are a boutique architecture and design firm based in New York with a focus on single family, modern residential projects.Current commissions include new builds in Miami and Santa Barbara, as well as townhouses, penthouses, and new homes in NY, Aspen, and abroad.

The ideal candidate has experience as a project architect / team captain in the creation of high-end single family residences. We’re looking for a person who is both inventive and a skilled project manager, with an eye for contemporary design and detailing, and a love of making and drawing. Compensation and Benefits:
