Job description

TowerPinkster, an architecture, engineering, and interior design firm based in Michigan, Indiana, and Kentucky, is seeking a talented Project Architect. This role involves organizing, coordinating, and leading project teams through the development of construction documents. Technical expertise and experience are essential for guiding the project team through coordination and quality assurance processes, including document clarification, submittal review, and site observation during bidding and construction.

Position Expectations + Responsibilities
  1. Understand project manager expectations throughout each project phase.
  2. Coordinate with the project designer to translate design into contract documents.
  3. Review project scope and contract for professional services.
  4. Lead the development of project plans, code reviews, contract documents, and communication exchanges by collaborating with all disciplines.
  5. Create and organize document formats, reviews for accuracy, track project milestones, and coordinate document reproduction.
  6. Review documents with the Designer for compliance with design concepts.
  7. Support the Project Manager in establishing and maintaining project milestones, deadlines, and delivery dates.
  8. Set and achieve goals for the design documentation process.
  9. Coordinate communication and documentation with clients.
  10. Assist in communication with the Construction Team during construction.
  11. Assign tasks and goals to the architectural technical team.
  12. Lead team meetings in the absence of the Project Manager.
  13. Assist in Construction Administration tasks such as monitoring shop drawings, pay applications, progress meetings, and site visits.
  14. Exhibit excellent communication skills and the ability to contribute effectively to a team environment.
  15. Create a collaborative project approach and adapt to changing situations.
  16. Apply technical skills effectively, gather and analyze information, and develop solutions.
Position Qualifications
  • Accredited degree in Architecture.
  • Licensure required.
  • Five or more years of professional architectural experience.
  • Experience in construction administration, document production, and design.
  • Proficiency in Revit and all Microsoft Office Suite programs.
