Base pay range

$76,500.00/yr - $187,000.00/yr

Location

The position is fully remote with the ideal candidate located within a two-hour radius of Pittsburgh, Washington, D.C., or Baltimore. This role involves field representation for West Virginia University Medicine projects at Berkeley, Fairmont, and Ruby campuses.

Primary Function

Responsible for the design and technical systems for healthcare projects from schematics through construction administration. The candidate should have healthcare project experience and strong communication skills to oversee project milestones and align with project goals. The role involves leading project teams and contributing strategically to company growth.

Typical Duties
  1. Develop building system concepts and documentation from schematic to construction phases.
  2. Support project pursuits with scope and fee development.
  3. Lead on large, complex projects when assigned.
  4. Oversee project team members.
  5. Prepare and monitor discipline work plans.
  6. Conduct code research using UpCodes platform.
  7. Research materials and develop project specifications in RIB SpecLink.
  8. Sign and seal documentation as authorized.
  9. Participate in project meetings and coordinate across disciplines.
  10. Lead technical reviews and work with authorities for approvals.
  11. Review submittals during bidding and construction phases.
  12. Ensure quality architectural and engineering services within the team.
  13. Perform additional duties as assigned.
Skills, Knowledge, Education, and Experience
  1. Bachelor’s degree and US architecture licensure; NCARB preferred.
  2. LEED accreditation is a plus.
  3. At least ten years of experience in the A/E industry, specifically in healthcare projects.
  4. Knowledge of all project phases from schematic design to close-out.
  5. Strong coordination and communication skills.
  6. Proficiency in Revit, Microsoft Word, and Excel.
  7. Ability to work remotely with team collaboration tools.
  8. Detail-oriented, self-motivated, flexible, and committed to DEI principles.
Physical Requirements
  1. Travel to project sites as needed.
  2. Access to project sites for observation and evaluation.
  3. Use of communication and documentation equipment.
  4. Visual acuity for responsibilities.
