Job summary

DISHER is partnering with a collaborative design studio for a Project Architect based out of Crown Pointe, IN. The role leads projects from concept through completion, mentoring others, and championing collaboration to deliver high-quality learning environments.

You will work with designers and engineers in a studio that values creativity, flexibility, and professional growth, shaping schools and community spaces while ensuring every voice contributes to great design.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree in Architecture and 5-7 years of related experience highly preferred.
• Licensure or ability to obtain within 1 year of hire.
• Experience with educational building background highly preferred.
• Proficiency in Revit.
• Strong technical expertise related to design and construction.
• Understanding of Indiana code requirements.

Responsibilities

• Consult with clients to determine the functional and spatial requirements of new structures or renovations and prepare information regarding the design and specifications of materials, colors, systems, and prepare opinions of possible cost and project schedules.
• Plan layout of project and integrate engineering elements into unified design for client review and approval.
• Prepare scale drawings and contract documents for building contractors.
• Represent clients in obtaining bids and awarding construction contracts.
• Administer construction contracts and conduct periodic on-site observations to ensure compliance with plans.
