The Office of Advanced Aviation Technologies will be the designated point for activities related to the integration of advanced aviation technologies including Advance Air Mobility (AAM), Unmanned Aircraft Systems (UAS), and Supersonic aircraft in United States.The incumbent will support the new Electric Vertical Takeoff and Landing (eVTOL) Integration Pilot Program (eIPP) partnerships that will enable safe operations and increase automation safety in the National Airspace.
Specifically, this work directly supports the FAA’s safety mission and statutory requirements across multiple functional areas including safety oversight, security, and FAA Reauthorization implementation activities.
This position is located in Washington DC.
This position will provide direct support to various AAM and eIPP Program Managers with the following responsibilities:
Bachelor’s degree and prior relevant experience.
Ability to communicate to various levels of management, with the capacity to multi-task, strong organizational skills, budget adherence experience, and ability to organize meetings consisting of agency and external stakeholders with a broad range of specialties and interests including members from professional aviation organizations are required.
High proficiency in utilizing Microsoft Office applications to include Word, Excel, Teams, and PowerPoint.
Must be able to obtain and maintain Public Trust Security clearance.
Working knowledge of FAA systems.
Current Public Trust Security clearance.
