The role partners with Contracts, Finance, and Program Management to ensure compliance with US GAAP, CAS, FAR, and company policies, while driving month-end close, reconciliations, and financial analysis.

Qualifications

• Typically requires a Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or related discipline and nine or more years of progressively complex experience in finance/accounting.
• Experience with project accounting and invoicing for Cost Reimbursable, Fixed-fee, T&M, and Fixed-price government contracts.
• Experience with USG portals MOCAS, VIPERS and WAWF.
• Strong knowledge of GAAP, CAS, FAR and government contracting accounting requirements.
• Strong leadership and ability to manage a team and work cross-functionally.

Responsibilities

• Supervise, lead, and develop Project Accounting personnel and manage workload and priorities.
• Prepare customer invoices for Cost Reimbursable, Fixed-fee, T&M, and Fixed-price contracts.
• Record journal entries, revenue, A/R, and close activities.
• Collaborate with Contracts, Finance, and Program Management to resolve issues.
• Coordinate audits and respond to audit requests with supporting documentation.
• Identify opportunities to improve accounting processes and controls.
