Qualifications

• 5+ years of construction project accounting experience, including leadership.
• Hands-on experience with ACS 606 required.
• Strong knowledge of project accounting, job costing, and WIP reporting.
• Experience billing, change orders, retainage, and contract accounting.

Responsibilities

• Manage accounting functions for multiple active construction projects from inception through closeout.
• Oversee project setup, budgeting, job costing, and contract administration.
• Review and analyze project costs with proper labor, materials, subcontractors, and overhead coding.
• Prepare and review project billings, change orders, retainage, and revenue recognition.
• Reconcile project financials and investigate cost variances.
• Collaborate with Project Managers and Operations to support profitability.
• Assist with month-end and year-end close, including journal entries and reconciliations.
• Monitor WIP schedules and support forecasting activities.
• Ensure compliance with company policies and accounting standards.
• Mentor and support project accounting staff.
• Identify opportunities to improve processes and internal controls.

• Hands‑on experience with ACS 606 is required.
• Experience managing project billings, change orders, retainage, and contract accounting.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Office Suite.
