Job summary

Industrial Electric, Inc. (IEI) is seeking a Project Accountant to support the Alliance/Lilly team by accurately handling project accounting functions and processing invoices for assigned projects.

You will assist with closings, reconciliations, and contract reviews to ensure precise billings and complete documentation, collaborating across departments and teams to maintain solid financial records.

Qualifications

• A bachelor's degree in accounting or a related field, or equivalent relevant experience.
• Previous experience in accounting, project accounting, or a similar financial support role is preferred.
• Intermediate proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Word; experience with accounting software is beneficial.
• Construction industry experience is a plus but not required.

Responsibilities

• Review and process vendor and subcontractor invoices.
• Assist with monthly closings and account reconciliations.
• Review contracts to ensure project billings are prepared accurately.
• Prepare invoice packages with all required supporting documentation.
• Collect and review pertinent subcontractor paperwork.
• Maintain accurate project accounting records and financial documentation.
• Collaborate regularly with project team members and other departments.
• Assist other team members as needed.
