Project Accountant

IES Commercial, Inc. - dba IES Electrical, is looking for a full-time Project Accountant to work in one of our Nebraska offices: Lincoln, Norfolk, Kearney, Grand Island or Holdrege.

Job Summary

• Prepare and support GMP/NTE billing Accounts Receivable submissions, ensuring all required cost backup, subcontractor/vendor invoices, labor detail, material documentation, and expense support are complete, accurate, and organized for owner review.
• Assist with budgeting and forecasting processes, monitoring project costs, tracking expenses, and provide financial support for ongoing electrical construction projects.
• Assist with day-to-day project accounting operations.
• Collaborate with project managers for project coordination.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in accounting.
• Understanding of project accounting and cost tracking.
• 1 to 2 years' accounting experience, project accounting preferred.
• Proficient in MS Excel.
• Strong organizational, attention-to-detail, and communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Ability to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced work environment.
• Experience in construction or electrical industries a plus.
• Successfully pass pre-employment (post offer) background check, drug test and MVR check when responsibilities require operating motor vehicles.
