Job summary

HDR, an employee-owned engineering and architecture firm, seeks a Project Accountant 2 in Kansas City, MO to manage project financials from initiation through completion. You will ensure contract compliance, accurate invoicing, and timely reporting while collaborating with PMs and regional teams.

The role requires 5+ years in project accounting, strong MS Office skills, and EVMS familiarity; Oracle EBS/Hyperion experience is a plus. HDR champions inclusion and professional growth.

Qualifications

• Associate degree in accounting or equivalent experience.
• Minimum of 5 years of project accounting experience.
• Familiar with Earned Value Management concepts.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Proficiency with MS Office including Excel and Outlook; Oracle EBS/Hyperion is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Process project initiation packages per contract negotiations.
• Review and monitor costs, subcontractor invoices, and billing.
• Perform monthly billing and post invoices by deadlines.
• Analyze accounts receivable and communicate with PMs on issues.
• Manage fee and budget updates due to scope changes.
• Support project managers with financial data and forecasting.
