rand* construction corporation is seeking a Project Accountant to join our Houston office. You will maintain job cost and revenue, prepare AIA-based invoices, manage subcontractor documents, and support project managers with cost reporting in a fast-paced construction environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Business Management, or Project Management from an accredited college or university required.
• Minimum of 2 years of project accounting experience, preferably in construction.
• Experience with Timberline and Procore preferred.
• Excellent attention to detail; good follow-through and time management skills.
• High proficiency using Microsoft Office products with focus on Excel for financial purposes.

Responsibilities

• Maintain all job cost and job revenue for monthly accounting closes.
• Prepare monthly A/R billings on AIA forms.
• Receive and process all monthly A/P invoices as approved by project manager.
• Maintain/record contract documents, including change orders.
• Monitor daily costs in relation to projected fee and budget.
• Reconcile budget in Prolog with Timberline accounting software.
• Collect subcontractor certificates of insurance, W-9s, and waivers.
• Prepare weekly check run relative to job funding received.
• Ensure all cost is recognized and waivers received before job closing.
• Provide timely cost reports/data to project managers and controller.
• Work as member of the project management team and accounting team.
• Collect overdue receivables; handle subcontractor inquiries/relations.
