Job summary

Toastmasters International in Colorado is seeking a Project Accountant to support financial reporting, month-end close, and ERP-related initiatives. You will collaborate between Finance, IT, and external vendors to ensure accuracy and test system changes.

Responsibilities include leading testing plans, ensuring GAAP compliance, preparing journal entries and reconciliations, and assisting with audits and budgets. The role is hybrid, with on-site days at Englewood office and remote days.

Qualifications

• 4-year college degree in Accounting or a Business degree with a concentration in accounting.
• 3–4+ years’ experience with general ledger, month-end close, and account analysis.
• 3–4+ experience working with ERP or financial systems.
• Results-oriented and ability to meet assigned deadlines.

Responsibilities

• Lead all finance and accounting-related contributions to IT development work, including developing testing plans, maintaining project timelines for the Finance department, and tracking the progress of deliverables
• Review financial data to ensure it follows generally accepted accounting principles (GAAP)
• Independently review, test, and validate journal entries, financial reports, and payment processing for accuracy
• Provide solutions for identified project risks, delays, resource concerns, and potential accounting issues
• Coordinate user testing and validation of new accounting functionality
• Prepare monthly journal entries and account reconciliations
• Serve as Finance liaison for all assigned projects
• Provide regular project updates to all levels of leadership
• Support ERP, accounting system, financial reporting, and technology-related initiatives
• Complete and analyze data reconciliation and accuracy during system conversions
• Review existing accounting workflows and identify opportunities to improve efficiency
• Help standardize accounting processes across departments and business entities
• Assist with year-end audit requests
• Support with department budgets, as needed
• Cross-train and act as backup for other Finance team members
• Other duties as assigned by management
