Job summary

Centuri is hiring a Project Accountant in Naperville, IL to monitor project progress, review contracts, and ensure timely billings and collections.

You will work with Project Managers, handle time sheets, expenses, budgets, and variance analysis, contributing to project profitability.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance required.
• 2+ years’ experience in project accounting.
• 3+ years’ experience in billing and receivables.
• Detailed knowledge of project contracts and change orders.

Responsibilities

• Maintain project records and coordinate with Project Managers on contracts and billing.
• Review time sheets, invoices, expenses, and project assets.
• Investigate variances and submit variance reports.
• Prepare reports on project profitability.
• Monitor and report on project budgets.
• Create all project-related billings to customers.
• Pursue opportunities to maximize customer billing.
• Coordinate with receivables on unpaid billings.
• Respond to detailed requests from customers.
• Prepare government reports and tax returns for projects.
• Compile information for auditors.
• Support leadership with additional tasks.

Education

Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance
