Job summary

MG2, an affiliate of Colliers Engineering & Design, is seeking a collaborative Project Accountant in Seattle, WA to support the financial health of multiple projects. You will handle project setup/closing, budgets, contract entry, expenses, and timely invoicing while partnering with project teams.

This role offers the chance to impact project performance within a growing firm focused on sustainability and inclusion. Compensation ranges from $59,500 to $78,400 annually with comprehensive benefits.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting/Business Administration or comparable experience.
• 0–3 years of accounting experience.
• Experience with Microsoft Excel.
• 1+ years of Project or Job Costing experience is preferred.
• Experience in Architecture, Engineering or Construction industry preferred.
• Experience with billing and project accounting is preferred.
• Deltek accounting system experience preferred.
• Ability to interface with project managers, clients and architects.
• Ability to effectively prioritize, organize workflows and juggle conflicting demands.
• Ability to read, write and understand English for communications.

Responsibilities

• Set up and maintain projects in the accounting system per firm procedures.
• Review owner contracts and sub-consultant agreements for scope.
• Ensure contract integrity through approved scope changes.
• Set up and maintain consultant contracts in the system.
• Prepare accurate client invoices during monthly billing cycles.
• Verify invoice information, including fee type, coding, and allocations.
• Collaborate with Project Accounting to meet team goals and deadlines.
• Research and resolve unbilled activity.
• Monitor and close projects.
• Distribute invoices and upload into clients’ systems.
• Issue project performance reports and flag errors or issues.
• Participate in meetings to support project profitability.
