Job summary

Qualifications

• 2+ years of project/job-costing accounting experience, ideally in manufacturing or a related industrial environment
• Strong knowledge of job costing, WIP schedules, and cost variance analysis
• Strong Excel skills (pivot tables, VLOOKUP); comfort with ERP/job-costing software

Responsibilities

• Set up and maintain project/job costing, tracking actual costs against budgeted labor, materials, and overhead for each manufacturing project
• Reconcile job costs monthly and flag variances to project managers and leadership
• Maintain and report on WIP schedules across all active projects
• Process and track change orders, ensuring scope changes are reflected in budgets and billing
• Manage project billing and invoicing in line with contract terms and milestones
• Collaborate with project managers and production teams to keep budgets current as projects progress
• Support month-end close related to project-level revenue recognition and cost accruals
• Assist with inventory and production cost accounting as it intersects with project cost tracking
• Prepare project profitability reports for leadership review
• Support internal and external audit requests related to project financials
