Job summary

CFS in New York City is seeking a seasoned construction project accountant to own the financial performance of multiple projects. You will manage budgets, forecasts, and cost tracking while collaborating with project teams and leadership to provide clear, actionable reporting.

Daily use of Sage Intacct with exposure to Deltek or Timberline will drive billing, WIP schedules, and revenue recognition. This role offers ownership, growth, and a path to advance within a financially stable firm.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of project accounting experience in construction.
• Experience with ERP systems such as Sage Intacct, Deltek or Timberline.
• Strong knowledge of job costing, WIP and construction billing (AIA).

Responsibilities

• Manage project budgets, forecasts, and cost tracking across multiple construction jobs
• Prepare job cost reports, variance analysis, and profitability tracking
• Oversee billing, AIA invoicing, WIP schedules, and revenue recognition
• Partner with project managers to ensure accurate financial reporting and cost control
• Maintain and optimize project data within Sage Intacct

Salary: $100-115k base plus bonus
