Job summary

HRB is seeking a Project Accountant/Senior Project Accountant to support the financial performance of a high-volume regional business unit. The role partners with operations leadership to analyze profitability, forecast projects, and drive financial success on complex programs.

Responsibilities include monitoring budgets, WIP reporting, monthly forecasting, cost tracking, and collaboration with project managers and operations teams to ensure accurate reporting and timely financial insights.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree inAccounting,Finance,Business,orrelatedfieldpreferred.
• 3+ years of experience in project accounting or related disciplines.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communications skills.
• Advanced Excel skills.
• Ability to work independently and partner effectively with operations personnel.
• Experience with ERP systems and project management software preferred.

Responsibilities

• Monitor project budgets, costs, and profitability.
• Maintain and analyze Work-in-Progress (WIP) reporting.
• Assist with monthly forecasting and budgeting activities.
• Review project financial performance and identify cost overruns, risks, and opportunities.
• Support revenue recognition and project cost tracking.
• Partner with Project Managers and Operations teams.
• Assist with accounts payable processing and project cost reconciliation.
• Prepare financial reporting and performance analysis for management.
