Job summary

Coining seeks a Mechanical Engineer / Tool & Die Designer to lead end-to-end design of progressive dies for micro-miniature stampings using BeCu and Phosphor Bronze. You will create precise 2D/3D drawings, specify tooling and heat-treat requirements, and interact with customers on tolerances and DFMs.

The role combines hands-on die design with broader mechanical engineering duties, including new-product quotes, documentation, and production process support.

Qualifications

• Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering preferred.
• Progressive Die Design experience: 3–5 years in a precision metal stamping environment.
• Experience with BeCu and Phos Bronze strip materials.
• CAD/CAM proficiency: AutoCAD Inventor, AutoCAD Mechanical, SolidWorks eDrawings, and CAM Esprit.

Responsibilities

• Design and develop progressive stamping dies for micro-miniature parts from BeCu and Phos Bronze.
• Create 2D/3D drawings with GD&T and print tolerances.
• Prepare new product quotations with feasibility, die cost estimation, and cycle time analysis.
• Support heat-treating, tumbling, winding, reeling, and inspection processes.
