Job summary

Ditron is seeking a Mechanical Engineer / Tool & Die Designer to lead end-to-end development of progressive dies for micro-miniature stampings, primarily using BeCu and Phos Bronzes. The role requires designing with 2D/3D CAD tools and GD&T for tight tolerances, and interfaces with customers on tolerances and manufacturability.

Qualifications

• Progressive Die Design experience: 3–5 years in a precision metal stamping environment.
• Experience with BeCu and/or Phos Bronze materials preferred.
• Proficient in AutoCAD Inventor, AutoCAD Mechanical, SolidWorks eDrawings Viewer, and CAM software Esprit.
• Office software proficiency: MS Excel, MS Word, MS Outlook, Adobe Acrobat.

Responsibilities

• Design and develop progressive stamping dies for micro-miniature stampings from BeCu and Phos Bronze.
• Create detailed 2D/3D drawings and GD&T print tolerances.
• Prepare quotations, assess feasibility, die costs, and cycle times.
• Support production processes and maintain engineering documentation.
