Job summary

Bon Secours Memorial Regional Medical Center in Virginia seeks a dedicated Registered Nurse for the Progressive Care (Step down) unit. You will deliver exceptional nursing care, partner with the multidisciplinary team, and support safe, patient-centered care across the hospital.

The role requires at least 1 year of RN experience, with 6 months in acute care preferred. Candidates should hold or pursue RN licensure in Virginia; BLS/ACLS are valued.

Qualifications

• Current state licensure as a Registered Nurse (RN).
• BLS Basic Life Support or ACLS Advanced Cardiac Life Support (preferred at hire; ACLS required within 6 months).
• 1 year of RN experience (required).
• 6 months RN experience in an acute care hospital setting (preferred).

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with the interdisciplinary care team
• Conducts initial and ongoing patient assessment, analyzes assessment data, creates a plan of care, implements treatment, and evaluates treatment effectiveness
• Serves as point of contact for patients' care coordination throughout hospital departments
• Acts as a patient safety advocate by participating in ongoing quality improvement in the department
• Administer medications in a safe manner consistent with the State of Practice and the organization's policies and procedures
• Other duties as assigned

Bachelor of Science Nursing (preferred, not required)
