Job summary

AdventHealth in Lenexa, KS is seeking a Registered Nurse for PCU as PRN Night shift. You will conduct comprehensive assessments and develop individualized care plans, administer medications, and educate patients and families. Collaboration with the care team ensures high-quality outcomes.

The role requires an Associate’s in Nursing, RN license, and BLS. Other certifications are preferred and may enhance advancement within the Clinical Ladder program.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive assessments to evaluate the patient’s physiological, psychological, developmental, sociocultural, spiritual, and lifestyle factors.
• Develop and implement individualized care plans based on patient needs and standards of care, regularly evaluating and revising these plans.
• Administer medications and treatments accurately and safely, following physician orders and hospital protocols, and monitor for adverse reactions.
• Educate patients and families about health conditions, treatments, medications, and self-care strategies to promote understanding and compliance.
• Collaborate with medical staff and ancillary departments to coordinate and optimize patient care, ensuring effective communication and teamwork.
