Job summary

University Health Truman Medical Center in Kansas City, MO is seeking a Clinical Nurse RN for the Progressive Care Unit (PCU) to work FT 6:45am-7:15pm. The role requires assessing patients, planning and delivering nursing care, and collaborating with the interdisciplinary team.

You will participate in committees, program evaluations, research, and education; supervise students; and ensure compliance with Missouri Nurse Practice Act and all regulatory requirements.

Qualifications

• Graduation from an accredited nursing program.
• Current MO RN license.
• Current BCLS certification.
• BSN or equivalent degree preferred.
• RN specialty certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assess patients based on their diagnosis and care needs.
• Plan, perform, delegate, and evaluate nursing care using your expert skills.
• Work closely with an interdisciplinary team to ensure the best patient outcomes.
• Participate in committees, program evaluations, research, and education.
• Supervise and mentor students.
• Stay compliant with the Missouri Nurse Practice Act and all regulatory requirements.

Education

Graduation from an accredited nursing program

Current state of Missouri license as a Registered Nurse

Current BCLS certification

BSN or equivalent specialty degree
