Job summary

HCA Florida Citrus Hospital seeks a Progressive Care Registered Nurse to provide high‑quality care in a high acuity PCU. You will work within a supportive team that values collaboration and professional growth.

The role requires Florida RN licensure, a nursing diploma/ASN (BSN preferred), current BLS, ACLS after 60 days, and prior acute care experience. Strong clinical skills and patient‑centered communication are essential.

Qualifications

• Licensed as a Florida Registered Nurse or equivalent compact license.
• Nursing diploma or ASN required; BSN preferred.
• Previous acute care experience is strongly preferred.
• Current BLS certification is required; ACLS after 60 days.
• Demonstrates critical thinking, service excellence and good communication.

Responsibilities

• Assess, plan, intervene and evaluate care for Progressive Care Unit patients.
• Instruct patients and families on medications and treatments.
• Maintain and review patient records, including tests and results.
• Administer medications in accordance with physician orders.
