Job summary

HCA Florida Sarasota Doctors Hospital is actively seeking a Progressive Care Registered Nurse to provide high-quality, high-acuity care on the PCU. You will be part of a team that emphasizes collaboration, safety, and compassionate patient-centered care in a demanding clinical environment.

You will assess patient needs, develop plans, implement treatments, and educate patients and families about medications and care instructions.

Qualifications

• Florida RN licensure or valid compact license; active FL RN within 60 days of hire.
• Nursing Diploma or ASN required; BSN preferred.
• Experience in an acute care setting strongly preferred.
• Current American Heart Association BLS certification required.

Responsibilities

• Assess, plan, intervene and evaluate care for Progressive Care Unit patients.
• Instruct patients and families regarding medications and treatment instructions.
• Maintain and review patients' records including posting tests and examination results.
• Administer medications in accordance with physician orders.
