Job summary

Beacon Health System is seeking a part-time Registered Nurse for the Progressive Care Unit at Elkhart General Hospital in Elkhart, IN. The role is 0.6 FTE (24 hrs/wk), day shift, with 0700-1930 hours and every third weekend.

You'll provide professional nursing care, assessment, and care planning in a collaborative environment. The position requires ASN with BSN preferred, Indiana RN licensure, and a commitment to compassionate patient care within a not-for-profit hospital system.

Qualifications

• Advanced knowledge of nursing procedures, assessments, treatments and techniques.
• Ability to communicate clearly with patients, families, and staff.
• Strong clinical judgment and decision-making in progressive care settings.

Responsibilities

• Provide professional nursing care in the Progressive Care Unit.
• Assess patient needs and implement individualized plans of care.
• Develop and revise care plans based on ongoing data and outcomes.
• Prioritize and coordinate activities based on patient acuity and safety.
• Document assessments, interventions and outcomes per guidelines.
• Collaborate with physicians, therapists, and support staff to ensure quality care.
• Support continuity of safe, effective care across the care continuum.
