Job summary

CHS Career Site is seeking a Registered Nurse (RN) for a Full-time .9 FTE night shift (7p-7a) in Fort Wayne, IN. This role covers 14 beds across Step-down/Progressive Care/IMCU with Post Stroke & Post Trauma patients, coordinating and delivering high-quality, patient-centered care per established protocols.

The RN will collaborate with physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals, administer medications, educate patients and families, and participate in quality and safety initiatives

Qualifications

• 0-2 years of clinical nursing experience or student rotations in acute care are required.

Responsibilities

• Coordinates and delivers patient-centered care per nursing process and hospital protocols.
• Documents accurate patient assessments and reports changes to the care team.
• Administers prescribed medications and monitors for side effects.
• Assists physicians during procedures within competency.
• Develops and evaluates individualized care plans with the care team.
• Responds to emergencies and participates in CPR/code team activities.
