Atrium Health Kings Mountain 2 North/Progressive Care is a 33-bed medical-surgical and progressive care unit serving adults with a range of acute conditions. The RN provides patient-centered care, coordinates with the care team, and documents in the EHR.

Our culture emphasizes teamwork, accountability, and continuous learning. Ideal candidates hold an active RN license (BSN preferred) and BLS, with typically 1 year of nursing experience.

Qualifications

• Graduate of a Board of Nursing approved nursing education program.
• Active RN license with privileges to practice in the state(s) where the RN provides client care.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
• BSN degree preferred.
• Typically requires 1 year of clinical nursing experience.

Responsibilities

• Engages in governance and quality initiatives to improve care processes using evidence-based practices.
• Applies the nursing process to assess, plan, diagnose, implement, and evaluate care with patient/family involvement.
• Monitors patient conditions, adjusts care plans, mobilizes resources, and collaborates with the care team.
• Upholds and promotes a culture of safety and quality.
• Maintains accurate, timely electronic health record documentation.
• May administer medications, treatments, and therapies per clinical protocols.
• Demonstrates effective communication, feedback, and teamwork across disciplines.
• May float to other units or facilities to meet patient care needs.
• Adheres to the ANA Code of Ethics and ethical decision-making in care.
• Provides age-appropriate care and tailors assessment to life-span needs.
