Job summary

Spotsylvania Regional Medical Center in Virginia is seeking a Progressive Care Registered Nurse to coordinate and deliver high‑quality, patient‑centered care. The RN works with medical providers to give pre‑operative and post‑operative nursing care and acts as an advocate for patients to ensure an exceptional experience.

You will assess patients on admission and each shift, perform physician‑ordered procedures, document care thoroughly, administer prescribed medications, and maintain knowledge

Qualifications

• Active RN licensure required or pending licensure in the state of employment.
• ACLS and BCLS certifications required within 30 days of start date.
• RN with medical/surgical experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assess patient condition on admission and each shift, reporting changes in status.
• Perform procedures as ordered by the provider and document care in the chart.
• Administer prescribed medications and monitor responses.
• Maintain knowledge of medications, procedures, and equipment for cardiac and medical‑surgical patients.
