Job summary

Reston Hospital Center is seeking a Progressive Care Registered Nurse to coordinate and deliver high-quality, patient-centered care. Working with medical providers, you will provide pre-operative and post-operative nursing care and advocate for patients to support an exceptional experience.

You will assess patients on admission and throughout shifts, perform procedures as ordered, document care in medical records, administer medications, and maintain knowledge of cardiac and medical-surgical

Qualifications

• ACLS certification must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date.
• BLS certification must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date.
• RN Licensure and an Associate Degree are required.

Responsibilities

• Assess patient condition during admission and during each shift.
• Perform procedures or other functions as ordered by the medical provider.
• Document the administration of care in the patient medical record.
• Administer prescribed medications and monitor response.
• Maintain knowledge of medications and equipment for cardiac and medical-surgical patients.
