Job summary

Henry Community Health in New Castle, IN is seeking experienced bedside nurses or new graduates for our Progressive Care unit, with mentorship during introduction. Adult hospitalists provide 24/7 coverage to support the nursing team.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of pathophysiology, nursing process, nursing interventions and pharmacology.
• Ability to interpret cardiac rhythms and respond to patient conditions.
• BLS certification and ongoing professional development.

Responsibilities

• Supervises nursing personnel activities daily and participates in the delivery of general nursing duties.
• Administers prescribed medications and treatments following physician orders.
• Observes patients and records significant conditions, notifying supervisor or physician of changes.
• Prepares equipment and aids physician during treatment and examinations.
• Assesses patient vital signs to detect deviations and track progress.
• Oversees personnel assignments, staff, patient placement, and customer satisfaction.
