St. Luke’s Health – Memorial Lufkin is seeking an experienced Registered Nurse (RN) to deliver compassionate, high-quality care and to collaborate within an interdisciplinary team.

Based in the Lufkin, TX facility under CommonSpirit Health, you will assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care in a fast-paced environment. The role requires an Associates Degree in Nursing, RN experience, TX RN license at hire, and CPR within 14 days.

Qualifications

• Associates Degree in Nursing and at least one year of RN experience.
• Demonstrated competence in Registered Nurse I performance expectations or meets experience requirements upon hire.
• Registered Nurse: TX, upon hire
• Basic Life Support - CPR, within 14 days.
• Bachelor's Of Nursing preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assessment: admission and ongoing assessment of patient’s condition. Provides nursing care to meet the patient’s physical, psychological and spiritual needs.
• Planning: Designs, directs, evaluates, and documents the plan of care, patient/family teaching and the transition of care plan to include a safe appropriate level of care discharge.
• Implementation: Prepares patients physically, psychologically, and spiritually for treatments, surgeries and diagnostic studies; reports significant changes.
• Evaluation: Reassesses patients at appropriate intervals following interventions; notifies physician as necessary.
• Report Skills: Gives and receives report using Bedside Shift Report with family participation.
• Environment & Patient Safety: Maintains a safe environment and reports hazards and safety concerns.
