Job summary

Amergis Healthcare Staffing seeks a Progressive Care PCU Registered Nurse (RN) for travel assignments in Stanford, CA. The PCU RN will deliver patient care to telemetry/progressive care patients and perform clinical judgments with supervision, showing critical thinking and coordination of care.

Active RN license in the practice state, CPR as applicable, and compliance with standards are required. This travel position offers competitive pay with weekly paychecks and benefits.

Qualifications

• Current Registered Nurse License for the state in which the nurse practices
• One year prior professional nursing experience preferred with one year progressive care unit experience preferred
• Complies with all relevant professional standards of practice
• Current CPR if applicable
• Current Health certificate (per contract or state regulation)
• Must meet all federal, state and local requirements
• Must be at least 18 years of age

The Progressive Care Unit RN, assumes the responsibility andaccountability for delivering patient care to telemetry/progressive carepatients. The Progressive Care Unit RN demonstrates the ability to makeclinical judgments in an effective and efficient manner with supervision. Thisindividual employs critical thinking and performance ability in thecoordination of patient care, consistently performs according to nursingstandards, and is accountable in managing patient care and assisting others inthe management of patient care. TheProgressive Care Unit RN is sometimes also called a step-down nurse, cardiacstepdown, neuro stepdown, surgical stepdown and in some medical centers, thePCU is also known as a transition or intermediate unit.
