Amergis Healthcare Staffing seeks a Progressive Care PCU RN for a travel assignment in Washington, DC. The RN will deliver care to telemetry/progressive care patients and perform clinical judgments with supervision, ensuring quality and safety in a fast-paced setting.

Requirements include an active RN license in the practicing state, CPR if applicable, and 1 year of nursing experience (PCU preferred). Travel with competitive weekly pay and standard benefits provided.

The Progressive Care Unit RN, assumes the responsibility andaccountability for delivering patient care to telemetry/progressive carepatients. The Progressive Care Unit RN demonstrates the ability to makeclinical judgments in an effective and efficient manner with supervision. Thisindividual employs critical thinking and performance ability in thecoordination of patient care, consistently performs according to nursingstandards, and is accountable in managing patient care and assisting others inthe management of patient care. TheProgressive Care Unit RN is sometimes also called a step-down nurse, cardiacstepdown, neuro stepdown, surgical stepdown and in some medical centers, thePCU is also known as a transition or intermediate unit.

Minimum Requirements

• Current Registered Nurse License for the state in which thenurse practices

• One year prior professional nursing experience preferredwith one year progressive care unit experience preferred

• Complies with all relevant professional standards ofpractice

• Current CPR if applicable

• TB questionnaire, PPD or chest x-ray if applicable

• Current Health certificate (per contract or stateregulation)

• Must meet all federal, state and local requirements

• Must be at least 18 years of age
