Job summary

HCA Houston Healthcare Southeast in Pasadena, Texas, is recruiting a Progressive Care/Stepdown Registered Nurse to coordinate and deliver high-quality, patient-centered care. You will work with providers on pre- and post-operative care and advocate for patients to ensure a superior experience.

The role requires deep clinical skill in cardiac and medical-surgical care, the ability to document thoroughly, and ongoing collaboration with the care team.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited RN program (diploma/associate/bachelor).
• Current Texas RN license or Multi-State Compact license; Texas license within 90 days if compact.
• Current BLS from American Heart Association.
• 1 year of clinical RN experience in acute care.

Responsibilities

• Assess patient condition at admission and each shift, report changes.
• Perform procedures as ordered by medical provider.
• Document care in the medical record promptly and thoroughly.
• Administer prescribed medications and monitor response.
• Maintain knowledge of meds, procedures and equipment for cardiac/med-surg patients.
