Job summary

PSIA-AASI Western Region seeks a Programs Supervisor for the Ski and Ride School (SRS) to guide programs and deliver a quality guest experience, in collaboration with SRS Management, with focus on Kids Club Arapahoe, SES, Blackpackers and other groups.

Starting November 1, 2026, this role will staff daily operations, supervise 25+ pros, coordinate 30+ staff, ensure safety procedures, and actively develop new programs while maintaining exceptional guest service in a high-altitude outdoor

Qualifications

  • Three years Ski and Ride School instruction experience.
  • Prior supervision experience required.
  • Strong scheduling and staff coordination skills.

Position Summary

The Ski and Ride School (SRS) Programs Supervisor guides programs to ensure a quality guest experience. This role, in conjunction with SRS Management, delivers revenue contributions and provides a fulfilling experience for both guests and staff.

The Ski and Ride School (SRS) Programs Supervisor guides programs to ensure a quality guest experience. This role, in conjunction with SRS Management, delivers revenue contributions and provides a fulfilling experience for both guests and staff.

The Programs Supervisor will take responsibility for the range of programs offered throughout the season. This includes, but is not limited to, Kids Club Arapahoe, S.E.S., Blackpackers, and other large groups.

The Programs Supervisor will work with the SRS Supervisor to adequately staff for both daily operations and program needs. On days that programs are not running, this individual can expect to either be included in daily assignments, or if the SRS Supervisor is off, they may be asked to run daily operations.

The expected start date for this position is November 1, 2026.

Wage

The base hourly pay range below represents the low and high end of Arapahoe Basin’s hourly pay range for this position. Actual pay will vary and may be above or below the range based on various factors, including but not limited to experience, education, training, location, merit system, quantity or quality of production, and responsibilities. The range listed is just one component of Arapahoe Basin’s total compensation package for employees. Other rewards may include many region-specific benefits.

$22.75 – $30.75/hour

Essential Duties
  • Manage and supervise the operations for SRS Specialty programs
  • Scheduling and supervision of 30+ staff for the full range of programs and specialty group offerings (Kids Club, SES, Blackpackers, etc.)
  • Schedule and supervise 3 + indoor staff
  • Daily supervision of 25+ pros, which includes prepping the Kids Center, printing tickets, running line up, distributing classes, etc.
  • Enforce and support company and department policies and procedures
  • Coach, support, and evaluate pros
  • Act as the main point of contact for all specialty programs offered by the SRS
  • Work with SRS management to adequately staff for various programs
  • Facilitate current SRS programs and help to develop future programs
  • Communicate with guests, parents, and partners to ensure a positive experience
  • Ensure all guest/parent concerns and complaints are handled in a manner that solves concerns with a timely and mutually satisfactory outcome.
  • Independently develop and drive business opportunities to enhance the guest experience
  • Provide training and guidance to reduce customer and instructor accidents or incidents.
  • Knowledge of accident/incident procedures and documentation.
  • Assess facilities, procedures, and environmental factors to reducing incidents.
  • Instructor observation and appraisals
  • Record instructor discussions which may include corrective actions
  • Follow all department sustainability guidelines as expected
  • Other duties as assigned.
Required Qualifications
  • Three years Ski and Ride School instruction
  • Previous supervisory experience
  • Organizational leadership experience preferred
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite
  • Ability to effectively and efficiently use scheduling and inventory software (RTP, Flaik)
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, guest service, and problem-solving skills
  • Self-motivated and ability to self-direct while performing multiple tasks
  • Must be available on weekends and holidays
  • Must provide own ski or snowboard equipment and other necessary gear to work outside in a high-alpine, snowy, and cold environment
  • This position requires successful completion of a background check
Education Requirements
  • Highschool Diploma or equivalent
  • Current with PSIA-AASI, Level 2 Certification and CS1 preferred
Physical Requirements
  • Use full range of body motion: bend, twist, kneel, push, pull and lift up to 50lbs
  • Stand and walk for 8 hours on potentially snowy and icy surfaces
  • Ability to be in ski gear and potentially skiing for 3 hours
  • Withstand high altitude conditions at all times

Working Conditions

You will consistently be working outside in a high-altitude environment which may include extreme cold and wet/humid conditions. Most work is performed in a highly trafficked and loud area in view of guests. Face to face, phone and email guest interaction is continuous in this role. Occasionally working in an indoor environment.
