Job summary

General Dynamics Ordnance and Tactical Systems seeks a seasoned Project Manager to plan, monitor and manage internal programs from initiation through completion. You will lead or coordinate programs, resourcing, staffing, progress reporting, troubleshooting and indirect people management within the Project Management Function.

Qualifications

  • Associate's Degree and 8–10 years' experience or equivalent.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
  • Strong project management skills and ability to meet deadlines.

  • Participates in planning, budgeting, staffing, and performance.
  • Liaise with functional departments and tracks utilization to meet milestones.
  • Evaluates program effectiveness by collecting data for KPIs.
  • Ensures activities comply with policies and external regulations.
  • Provides reports and updates to senior management.

Job Summary

Essential Functions
  • Has P&L responsibilities for specific program(s)
  • Participates in all aspects of corporate programs, including planning, budgeting, staffing, and performance.
  • Liaise with functional departments throughout the organization and tracks utilizationto ensure milestones are completed on time or in accordance with established standards.
  • Evaluates program effectiveness by collecting and analyzing data in support of key performance metrics.
  • Ensures that activities are in compliance with organizational policies and any relevant external regulations.
  • Provides reports and updates to senior management or other stakeholders.
Required Qualifications
  • Required education and experience: Associate's Degree and 8-10 years' experience OR Equivalent Combination of Relevant Education &/or Experience
  • Critical professional related technical skills; computer skills: Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)
Preferred Qualifications
  • Preferred education and experience: Bachelor's Degree
  • Discipline/Major: Business degree preferred
  • Knowledge, skills & abilities: Oral and written communication skills. Ability to build collaborative relationships. Detail oriented. Ability to meet deadlines. Project management skills.
Physical Requirements
  • Must be able to remain in a stationary position at a desk and/or computer for extended periods of time.
  • Work primarily in a climate-controlled environment with minimal safety/health hazard potential.
  • Requires regular movement throughout GD-OTS facilities.
Travel Requirements

Up to 25% travel likely.

Pay Range (USD)

$140,000 - $189.500

The salary range displayed reflects the minimum and maximum for salary for this position. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, internal equity, and relevant education or training.
