Huntington Ingalls Industries (HII) Mission Technologies in San Diego, CA, seeks a Programs Manager to lead all aspects of project and contract execution. You will drive planning, coordination, oversight, reporting, and compliance across tasks, personnel, and deliverables.

You will guide cost, schedule, and performance across subcontractors, ensure security requirements, and deliver timely Contract Data Reports. A DoD/government contract background is preferred.

Qualifications

  • 4 years relevant progressive experience with Bachelor in related field; 2 years relevant progressive experience with Masters in related field; or High School Diploma or equivalent and 8 years relevant progressive experience.
  • Proven experience managing large, complex C4I and HM&E Government contracts or programs.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead diverse teams and manage program resources.
  • Strong understanding of program controls, risk management, scheduling, and quality assurance.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills.
  • Experience with cost reporting, budgeting, and performance metrics.
  • Must be able to obtain and maintain a Security Clearance and maintain throughout employment.
  • Must be able to obtain and maintain Base access.

Responsibilities

  • Providing continuous status updates, identifying deviations, and implementing corrective actions.
  • Maintaining complete and accessible project data and ensuring all deliverables and reports are submitted accurately and on time.
  • Manage cost, schedule, and overall performance of assigned subcontractors and vendors.
  • Overseeing contract security requirements and compliance.
  • Preparing and submitting required Contract Data Requirements Lists (CDRLs) including Management Plans, labor‑hour reports, staffing reports, utilization reports, and Estimates at Completion.

Summary

Join HI as we keep the world's most powerful Navy afloat! HII's Platform Modernization group is seeking a Programs Manager to join our team! This is a full-time role located in San Diego, CA. As a Program Manager you will play a critical role leading all aspects of project and contract execution, ensuring effective planning, coordination, oversight, reporting, and compliance across tasks, personnel, resources, and deliverables.

  • Experience managing CDRLs and complex reporting requirements.
  • Experience working directly with external and internal leadership teams.
  • A current Security clearance.
Physical Requirements

May be required to visit job site in an industrial or shipboard environment. Normally not required to lift more than 40 pounds higher than three feet above feet/floor level.
