Join HII as we provide the maintenance, modernization, and lifecycle readiness of naval platforms to maintain reliable and mission-readiness by delivering coordinated engineering, logistics, modernization, sustainment, and industrial support to the U.S. Navy and allied partners. The Fleet Sustainment team is seeking an Assistant Program Manager preferably in the Hampton Roads or DMV area, but there is flexibility in location based on experience. This position supports the Program Manager with planning, coordination, and execution of all contractual requirements of Technical Support of naval and partner allied vessels, systems, and ship sustainment infrastructure. The Assistant PM will oversee portions of daily program operations, compliance with the Statement of Work (SOW) and cost, meeting schedule, technical, and security requirements. This role supports the management of multi‑discipline engineering, logistics, and shipyard support efforts across CONUS and OCONUS locations. Key responsibilities include contributions to establishing program milestones, monitoring adherence to master plans and schedules, and identifying and helping resolve program challenges through coordinated resource allocation, process improvements, or recommended contractual adjustments. This position ensures effective continuity of operations and provides essential support to the Program Manager in achieving successful program outcomes.
