The ideal candidate has 5–7 years in an industrial setting, strong organizational and communication skills, and a passion for advancing safety and workforce initiatives within Louisiana's industrial community.

Qualifications

  • 5–7 years of professional experience in industrial environments managing complex programs or committees with minimal oversight.
  • Experience supporting safety programs, workforce development initiatives, training, operations, maintenance, EHS, HR, or technical committees.
  • Strong organizational skills with high attention to detail and ability to manage competing deadlines; proficient in Microsoft Office.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Interest in Louisiana's industrial sector and regional safety/workforce/technology opportunities.

Responsibilities

  • Lead the Safety, Health, and Security, Workforce Development, and Technology committees and subcommittees with agenda development and meeting facilitation.
  • Manage annual cycles of Safety Excellence Awards and Workforce Development Awards; oversee nominations, judging workflows, and schedules.
  • Oversee Educator Externship Program from application to onboarding, coordinating with members and partners on logistics.
  • Lead TEC Next Conference planning, speaker coordination, sponsor relations, marketing support, logistics, and onsite execution.
  • Track program timelines and prepare leadership/board presentations; compile outcomes and participant feedback.
  • Coordinate with staff on cross-functional initiatives and events; contribute to other organizational priorities.
