TUMO Los Angeles is seeking a programming specialist to lead teen programming workshops at the LA center, delivering hands-on projects and mentoring students aged 12 to 18. You will evaluate student work and provide feedback to help them grow in programming and software engineering.
Responsibilities include collecting and evaluating workshop results, giving weekly feedback, and delivering demonstrations to excite students about the field.
Goal: Deliver workshops, evaluate student work and mentor teens interested in programming at the TUMO LA Center for Creative Technologies.
Hours/Location: 12 hours a week, in person in North Hollywood - initial working days will include Tuesday and Wednesday afternoons and Saturdays. The schedule will have slight and predictable changes each month.
Compensation: $50/Hour

TUMO Center for Creative Technologies is looking for a programming specialist to join the TUMO LA team and lead programming workshops for teens. TUMO serves ~40,000 teens each week across 14 countries, including locations in Paris, Berlin, Amsterdam and Buenos Aires among others. TUMO LA is the first US-based TUMO center made possible with funds from the State of California and the City of LA. TUMO students are between the ages of 12 and 18 and attend TUMO centers after school to learn skills at the intersection of technology and design, completely free of charge.
