Job summary

Nashua Public Library is seeking an Assistant Librarian for Programming and Marketing to plan and implement adult programming that serves the community’s needs and supports our strategic goals. The role includes helping with large programs and events for all ages and managing meeting room reservations and gallery exhibits.

The position is full-time (40 hours weekly) with shifts including evenings and weekends, and involves front-desk service to patrons in person, by phone, and via email.

Qualifications

• Four-year accredited degree required.
• 1–2 years public library or equivalent community org experience.
• Proficiency with office software and ability to learn new tech.
• Ability to engage with diverse populations and speak to groups.

Responsibilities

• Plan and implement adult programming aligned with community needs.
• Manage large programs and events for all ages.
• Oversee meeting room reservations and gallery exhibits.
• Assist customers at service desk in person, by phone, and by email.
