Job summary

Paylocity is seeking a Programmer I for developing custom client reports within a fully remote role across the United States. You will use SQL and various reporting tools to create solutions for Payroll and HR system customers, gathering client requirements and translating them into working programs.

The position emphasizes collaboration with internal teams to refine requirements and deliver accurate, compliant reports.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science/related field.
• Ability to demonstrate a basic knowledge of SQL.
• Prior payroll experience a plus.
• One-year experience with Crystal Reports or SQL Reporting Services.
• Experience modifying SQL Server Stored Procedures.
• Experience programming or reporting for accounting or payroll functions is a plus.
• Familiarity with XML or XSLT translation is a plus.

This is a fully remote position, allowing you to work from home or location of record within the U.S. with no in-office requirements.? You must be available five days per week during designated work hours.? The work arrangement for this role is subject to change based on business needs and individual performance. Position Overview

The Programmer I will be responsible for using system tools, SQL, and in some cases high level language tools to develop custom solutions for our Payroll and HR system customers. They additionally may be required to interact with clients to gather requirements and will be developing solutions using financial and mathematical concepts.

The base pay range for this position is $47,100 - $70,000 /yr; however, base pay offered may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. This position offers a full range of benefits outlined here. This information is provided per the relevant state and local pay transparency laws for the location in which this position will be performed. Base pay information is based on market location.
