Job summary

Paylocity is seeking an Operations professional for an in-office role at our Rochester, NY location. The role focuses on supporting client implementations with emphasis on data migration, validation, and test payroll execution.

You will collaborate with Sales, Data Conversion, Implementation, and Managed Services to ensure successful outcomes and timely go-lives, while onboarding client data and driving projects to completion.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree required or equivalent experience.
• 1+ years of Payroll experience required.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially Excel.
• Advanced Excel skills including pivot tables, VLOOKUP, data manipulation, and analysis.
• Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and prioritize tasks effectively.
• Certified Payroll Professional (CPP) certification is a plus.
• Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work effectively in a team environment.
• Demonstrate organizational and time management abilities.
• Excellent decision-making, analytical, and problem-solving skills with high attention to detail.
• Solid understanding of payroll compliance at the federal, state, and local levels.
• Ability to communicate clearly with clients and provide excellent customer service.

In-Office:

This is a 100% in-office role based at our Rochester, NY location. Remote or hybrid work is not available for this position. Candidates must be able to work on-site five days per week during designated work hours.

Position Overview

This role is responsible for supporting client implementations with a strong focus on data migration, validation, and test payroll execution. The consultant plays a key role in onboarding client data, driving projects to completion, and ensuring go-live dates are met.

Education and Experience

Physical requirements

• Ability to sit for extended periods: The role requires sitting at a desk or workstation for long periods, typically 7-8 hours a day.

The base pay range for this position is $20.00 - $29.00/hour; however, base pay offered may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. This position offers a full range of benefits outlined here.
