Job summary

Ampcus, Inc is seeking a Programmer Analyst 2 to modernize our flagship cloud-hosted application by migrating it from a desktop to a web-based version. The ideal candidate will possess expert knowledge in Visual Studio .Net and .Net technologies including ASP.Net, C#, and SQL. You will also work closely with lead developers and guide other contractors while taking ownership of specific modules. The position is based in Hanover, VA, as a full-time opportunity.

Qualifications

• Expert knowledge in systems development and design using Visual Studio .Net.
• Experience in ASP.Net, Web Services, and web applications.
• Proficient in .Net technologies including C# and Visual Basic.

Responsibilities

• Modernize cloud hosted application from desktop to web version.
• Understand the current code for migration to the new application.
• Work closely with lead developers on module ownership.

Job Title: Programmer Analyst 2

Location(s): Hanover, VA

Description: We are modernizing our flagship cloud hosted (OCI) application BADGE from the current desktop version to a web based version. Need to be able to understand the code in the current desktop application to migrate to the new Web based application. You will be working closely with our lead developers to take ownership of a given module and provide guidance to the other contractors.

Requirements

• Expert knowledge of systems development and design using Visual Studio .Net.
• Expert knowledge in developing ASP.Net, Web Services and Web applications in .Net.
• Expert knowledge of .Net technologies (Visual Basic, C#, .Net Framework).
• Experience working in MVC, JavaScript, jQuery, jQuery Unobtrusive Validation, HTML, and CSS.
• Experience working with WinForms / WPF Forms.
• Experience working with TFS / GIT Source Control.
• Experience working with RDBMS and writing complex SQL queries. Experience working with Oracle and PL/SQL preferred.
• Experience in Angular/React desired.
