Qualifications

• Master's degree in Development Studies, Agriculture, Rural Development, Public Policy, or a related field.
• Minimum of 5 years of progressive experience in programme development and management within the non-profit or international development sector.
• Demonstrated success in designing and securing funding for development programmes.
• Strong analytical, research, and strategic planning skills.
• Excellent project management, communication, and interpersonal abilities.
• Knowledge of sustainable agriculture practices and rural community dynamics in the Western Cape is highly advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Lead the identification, design, and development of new programme proposals and strategies.
• Conduct needs assessments and feasibility studies for potential new initiatives in the Paarl area and surrounding regions.
• Secure funding for new programmes through grant writing, donor relations, and partnership development.
• Oversee the initial implementation phase of new programmes, ensuring alignment with objectives and resource availability.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with community stakeholders, government bodies, and partner organizations.
• Monitor and evaluate programme progress, impact, and financial performance, reporting findings to senior management and stakeholders.
