Job summary

The New York Times is seeking a Programmatic Analyst to drive growth in NYT programmatic revenue. You will be the daily contact with supply side partners and support the sales team in programmatic conversations, helping optimize and expand opportunities.

This hybrid role is based in our New York headquarters with an expectation of being in the office about three days per week. The candidate will collaborate with Business Analytics for frequent, accurate insights on programmatic optimizations.

Qualifications

  • 2+ years of experience in digital advertising or media.
  • 1+ years working with DMPs, ad exchanges, agency trading desks, DSPs and SSPs.
  • Experience with reporting and data visualization tools such as Tableau, Double Verify, Mode, or STAQ.

Responsibilities

  • Manage daily programmatic platform management and operations, including rule and deal optimizations, ad quality enforcement, and troubleshooting.
  • Assist the sales and planning teams with deal creation and health checks to ensure ideal performance.
  • Partner with the Sales team to help assist and recommend programmatic inventory and targeting solutions.
  • Maintain relationships with ad exchanges and supply side platforms (SSPs).
  • Be an internal expert on programmatic business trends, new technologies and best practices.
  • Deploy and maintain programmatic technology solutions by testing partner header bidding, price rules, and deal capabilities.
  • Browse site content to ensure client ads are delivering as expected.

Job Description

The New York Times' Advertising team is looking for a Programmatic Analyst to increase growth of NYT programmatic revenue. You will be the daily contact with supply side partners and support the sales team in programmatic conversations.

About the Role

You will be a subject matter expert and programmatic sales specialist for the NYT data ad products, and be able to partner with Business Analytics to provide accurate and frequent analysis of programmatic optimizations and opportunities. This is a hybrid role based in our New York headquarters, VP of Revenue Operations. You can typically expect to be in the office 3 days per week.

Responsibilities

  • Special focus on deploying and maintaining programmatic technology solutions by testing partner's header bidding, price rules, and deal capabilities.
  • Browse the content on our site frequently to ensure our client's ads are delivering as expected.
Qualifications
  • 2+ years of experience in digital advertising or media.
  • 1+ years working with DMPs, ad exchanges, agency trading desks, DSPs and supply-side platforms (SSPs).
  • Experience with reporting and data visualization tools such as Tableau, Double Verify, Mode, or STAQ.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience working in a high functioning team environment.

The annual base pay range for this role is between $75,000 - $88,000 USD.

For roles in the U.S., dependent on your role, you may be eligible for variable pay, such as an annual bonus and restricted stock.
