Compudopt’s Program Trainer in San Antonio, TX supports our education programs for youth and adult learners, delivering lessons from a prepared curriculum and engaging learners to improve knowledge retention.

This seasonal, part-time role is expected to deliver 10-15 hours weekly, with morning, afternoon, or early evening sessions as needed. Travel to different sites may be required; mileage is reimbursed. A background check is required and bilingual Spanish is preferred.

Qualifications

  • High School graduate or GED.
  • Must be 18 years of age or older.
  • Must have reliable transportation.
  • Bachelor’s degree or pursuing a degree in a relevant or related field.
  • CPR, First Aid, AED certifications
  • Bilingual - Spanish proficiency in speaking, reading, and writing, with the ability to deliver technology educational content fully in Spanish.

Responsibilities

  • Leads training classes for youth and/or parents; training will be provided to specialize in one or more age groups.
  • Delivers programs in line with the developed curriculum.
  • Actively engages with students to ensure their learning and knowledge retention.
  • Facilitates a strong classroom culture through authentic relationships with students and consistent behavior and classroom management.
  • Provides feedback and suggestions on curriculum and program revision.
  • Collects classroom information, including attendance and metric reports, to ensure continuous improvement.
  • Maintains a safe and healthy training environment by following organization standards and regulations.
  • Maintains quality service by upholding organization standards.
  • Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed.
  • Performs other job-related duties as assigned.

PROGRAM TRAINER | SAN ANTONIO, TX

Seasonal San Antonio, TX, US

Salary Range: $19.25 To $19.25 Hourly

Compudopt’s mission is to provide technology education and access to under-resourced youth and their communities. This position serves as a trainer for our educational programming for youth and adult learners in the San Antonio area. Program Trainers will report directly to the Program Director. This part-time position is anticipated to deliver 10-15 hours of instruction weekly, which may span mornings, afternoons, or early evenings depending on program needs. Travel to different sites may be required, and mileage will be reimbursed.

The Program Trainer must act with integrity, be committed to achieving organizational goals, take responsibility for mission achievement, and demonstrate accountability by starting with yes.

Responsibilities:

  • Leads training classes for elementary, middle, or high school youth; and/or parents and other adult learners – training will be provided to specialize in one or more age groups, depending on experience and on the organization’s needs.
  • Delivers programs in line with the developed curriculum.
  • Actively engages with students to ensure their learning and knowledge retention.
  • Facilitates a strong classroom culture through authentic relationships with students and consistent behavior and classroom management.
  • Provides feedback and suggestions on curriculum and program revision.
  • Collects classroom information, including attendance as well as metric and measurement reports, to ensure the continuous improvement and quality of the program.
  • Maintains a safe and healthy training environment by following organization standards and legal regulations.
  • Maintains quality service by establishing and enforcing organization standards.
  • Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed.
  • Perform other job-related duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

Required:

  • High School graduate or GED.
  • Must be 18 years of age or older.
  • Must have reliable transportation.

Preferred:

  • Bachelor’s degree or pursuing a degree in a relevant or related field.
  • Previous experience working in a classroom environment.
  • CPR, First Aid, AED certifications
  • Bilingual - Spanish proficiency in speaking, reading, and writing, with the ability to deliver technology educational content fully in Spanish.

Special Knowledge/Skills:

  • Basic computer use
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite and Google Workspace applications
  • Knowledge and experience in teaching/training technology, digital literacy, or STEM-related programming.
  • Knowledge in STEAM fields, particularly technology, and commitment to mission-driven work
  • Demonstrated ability to plan, organize, and implement population-appropriate program activities.
